San Francisco, September 19

CANCELLED

Our next Tech Solidarity event will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018, from 7-9 PM, at 88 Colin P Kelly JR St, San Francisco.

Our very special guest will be Marielena Hincapié, director of the National Immigration Law Center. Marielena is a national figure and a leader in the fight for immigrants' rights, and we are very fortunate to be able to hear from her firsthand about the present and future of immigration in the Trump era.

Since our inception, Tech Solidarity has been a strong backer of the NILC. Speakers from the Institute have appeared at our events in San Francisco and in New York City. And at the height of the travel ban in February of 2017, we held an emergency fundraiser to assist NILC lawyers who were camping out 24/7 at SFO and other major airports.

So it is a particular honor to welcome the director of an institution doing this vital work, and to have a chance to learn firsthand how the tech community can continue to help and support it.

Marielena will speak for half an hour about the NILC's work and the changing legal climate of the past two years, and then we'll have a chance for a wide-ranging discussion.

If you can attend, please RSVP to maciej@ceglowski.com, or +1 415 610 0231 on Signal. The event is accessible to all, and there will be donuts!

Everyone is welcome!
